This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with GB/T 5480-2017, “Test Methods for Mineral Wool and Its Products,” and can be used to determine the slag ball content in glass wool and its products, slag wool, rock wool and their products, as well as aluminosilicate wool and its products. By exploiting the differences in gravitational and drag forces experienced by slag balls and fibers when they are suspended in an aqueous medium, the slag balls and fibers are separated; the slag ball content in the mineral wool is then quantified through drying, sieving, and weighing.

I. Product Overview This instrument is designed to assess the impact resistance of reflective films for use in manufacturing and quality‑control inspection, based on the principle of free fall of a steel ball. It is developed and manufactured in accordance with the impact‑resistance test method specified in GB/T 18833‑2002 “Reflective Films for Road Traffic Signs” of the People’s Republic of China, and complies with JT/T 686‑2007 “Impact‑Resistance Tester for Reflective Films.” II.
